The Local Internet Advertising GmbH & Co. KG was founded by various directory publishers in 2012. By building up the proprietary leadhub technology, the company has established itself as a specialist in online marketing automation, lead management and individual AdServing solutions. The leadhub is the toolbox to centrally execute and measure marketing activities. The customer base includes the Gelbe Seiten Marketing Company and various publishers who rely on Excelsea’s expertise and technology. Therefore we are looking for reinforcements for our teams at the locations Tallinn, Frankfurt and Nuremberg.
We are an international team of IT developers, product owners, system administrators, support and back office staff working in different locations. Our shared passion is Markee – our cloud-based software that enables our customers to manage the online marketing of individual SMEs or large retail companies with numerous locations with just a few clicks.
We provide smart, innovative and simple solutions to support your online presence, grow your business and prepare you for future challenges.
Our colleagues come from over 10 different countries and currently work at 5 different locations in 4 different time zones. In a nutshell: Internationality is what defines us and we live it. True to the motto: “Hello world!”
Our collaboration is based on our shared values, which we defined together at our Team Event 2023:
#trust
#quality
#continuous improvement
The majority of our collaboration takes place in the digital space. To ensure that every colleague knows where his or her place is at Excelsea, we ensure clearly defined structures and binding responsibilities. We have regular meetings in small or large groups.
REMOTE WORK
It is part of our corporate culture that every employee has the opportunity to work from wherever he or she wants. Clear structures are important to ensure that collaboration works across national borders. All colleagues belong to smaller teams depending on their area of responsibility, so decision-making and coordination channels are short. At least one daily meeting is standard. Once a month, we meet digitally in a large group and share the results of our work. Our headquarters are in the centre of Nuremberg, within walking distance of the castle. Everyone is welcome to work from here and meet colleagues live at any time.
FEEDBACK CULTUR
Appreciation starts with feedback. That’s why an open feedback culture is important to us – targeted and in all directions. As most of us work remotely and don’t have the opportunity to meet up with our colleagues for a quick chat at the coffee machine due to the distances involved, we have established fixed feedback structures. Every employee has regular 1:1 meetings with their team leader, in which the employee themselves takes the lead.
BENEFITS
The latest generation of technical equipment is a matter of course. In addition, it is a matter of honour for us that our employees can largely organise their own time, so that “work-life balance” is not just a phrase for us. The selection of additional benefits depends on the respective location to which an employee belongs. They include lunch and public transport allowances as well as the option of a job bike. And yes: those who regularly work from our Nuremberg office also enjoy a drinks flat rate.
TEAMEVENTS
Regular hybrid meetings in large or small groups, regular 1:1 discussions, comprehensive surveys and a digital breakout room – we at Excelsea have found many ways to master the daily work routine in an international team working in different locations. But no digital meeting in the world can replace a real face-to-face meeting. That’s why it’s important to us to bring all our colleagues from around the world together once a year and gather them in one place. In 2023, for example, it happened over three days in June: 11 nations met in the centre of Franconia to work together, advance projects and – quite literally – hang out together. The focus was on our projects and teamwork. Of course, in addition to the joint work, the fun factor must not be neglected at such a meeting. That’s why we ventured out together on the Höhenglückssteig trail near Hersbruck. The team feeling was particularly evident here, as a helping hand was always just one colleague away for everyone when climbing the challenging climb, which sometimes requires a great deal of effort.
Have you become curious and want to get to know our team better and even become part of it yourself? Then take a look at our job portal, where we publish all our vacancies. Not the right one for you, but you still think you can support us? Then send us an unsolicited application. We may not yet know that we are looking for you. It’s definitely worth a try!
